By becoming a certified Mental Health First Aider, you’ll learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges. You’ll gain the skills needed to provide initial support to those in crisis and to guide them to the appropriate helper.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.

Be Sensitive, Be Brave infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop. This workshop teaches community members to act as eyes and ears and to connect individuals to help.

This workshop is for anyone interested in taking action to enhance their wellness and recovery and make positive changes in their lifestyle. This is an experience of strengthening one's self-efficacy and creativity with the guided support of a Copeland Center-certified peer supporter.

Positive Parenting Program

Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based parenting program that gives parents and caregivers simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships and confidently manage their child/ren’s behavior and prevent problems from developing.

Trauma Informed Systems

Designed to understand how trauma and stress impacts developing bodies and brains, communities, organizations and systems. The goal is to bring a cross-section of our workforce together to develop shared language and understanding of what it means to be a trauma-informed organization and apply common practices to help our communities heal.
